When we care for others, we elevate ourselves
News - 20 July 2025
Last Saturday, we experienced something worth sharing.
Together with the volunteers from the abandoned animal shelter UAI and with the invaluable support of Simone Lunghi and the Angeli del Bello, we spent a day taking care of Parco Forlanini, collecting bag after bag of waste and giving dignity back to a place visited every day by families, joggers… and many four-legged friends.
But as we looked around, we realized the real beauty wasn’t just in the clean paths or the tidied flowerbeds.
The beauty was in the people.
People who, on an ordinary Saturday, chose not to stay on the couch.
People who dedicate hours of their free time to others: to shelter dogs, to a cleaner city, to a more welcoming park.
Because when we care for others — be it people, animals, or places — we elevate ourselves.
Volunteering is not just a gift for those who receive; it’s growth for those who give.
It’s a tangible way to feel part of something bigger, to give a deeper meaning to your time.
And above all, to leave a small but real positive mark.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who, every day, puts their hands (and hearts) to work for the community.
This city is ours. Let’s take care of it, together.
