July 2026: 11 cleanups and 146 bags thanks to the community

In July 2026, the Un Sacco Pulito community documented 11 cleanups, collecting 146 bags with 5 active people or teams. From Alpine woodland to Sicilian beaches, rural roads, countryside and cycle paths, every action left a place better than it was found.

Weight data is available for only two cleanups, so the verified figure is at least 103.04 kg of documented waste; bags have not been converted into an estimated weight. In Andermatt, 86 volunteers collected 91 kg of waste and 2,000 cigarette butts. At Passo Brocon, 28 participants removed 12.04 kg and another 250 cigarette butts, even finding a horseshoe.

The month also shows the value of continuity. Gnoma Del Bosco covered several sections of the SP42 road and the Valmozzola area, while Daniela Fantoni reported and removed roadside waste around Barbiano. In Acireale, Cleanup Sicily brought several associations together at Capomulini beach and collected 25 bags.

• July 18 — SP42, Valmozzola, Gnoma Del Bosco: 9 bags of plastic, mixed waste, glass and paper.

• July 21 — Barbiano, Felino, Daniela Fantoni: 1 bag.

• July 21 — Solignano-Valmozzola cycle path, Gnoma Del Bosco: 1 bag.

• July 26 — Acireale, Cleanup Sicily: 25 bags at Capomulini beach.

• July 26 — SP42, Valmozzola, Gnoma Del Bosco: 9 bags along the section from km 6 to km 10.

The totals come from cleanups published on the portal during July. Kilograms are partial because nine pages do not provide an explicit weight.
